The Chinese yuan, also known as the renminbi, is the official currency of the People’s Republic of China. As China’s global economic influence grows, the yuan is increasingly used in international trade and finance. It has recently gained reserve currency status through inclusion in the IMF’s SDR basket.
The British pound is the official currency of the United Kingdom and holds the title of the oldest currency still in use. It ranks as the fourth most traded currency globally, following the US dollar, euro, and Japanese yen. Additionally, it is the third most widely held reserve currency worldwide.
